Privacy Policy
Effective Date: 11/22/2025
Last Updated: 11/22/2025
This Privacy Policy describes how mem[v] (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our AI-powered contextual memory infrastructure, embeddings, APIs, and cloud-based services (“Services”). This policy applies to all users of our Services.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
We collect and maintain the following data when you create or manage an account:
Full name
Email address
Organization or workspace name
Billing details (for paid subscriptions)
1.2 Memory Data (User Content)
mem[v] stores and processes user-generated content uploaded, ingested, or created in the platform, including:
Video and audio files
Extracted frames, scenes, timelines, and metadata
Transcriptions, summaries, embeddings, and structured memory outputs
Documents and internal workspace configurations
Tags, labels, annotations, and relationships between content
This data forms the core of the mem[v] memory layer.
1.3 Connected Services Data
With explicit user authorization, we may access and store data from external connected services, such as:
Google Drive
Enterprise document systems
Cloud storage or productivity tools connected via OAuth or API keys
Data is accessed and processed strictly per user instructions.
1.4 Technical & Operational Data
mem[v] collects technical data necessary to operate, secure, and improve the platform:
Authentication logs
API and ingestion logs
Device and browser information
System performance metrics
Usage diagnostics and security-related telemetry
This information ensures reliability and safety of the platform.
2. How We Use Information
We use collected data for:
Account creation and authentication
Video, audio, and document ingestion
Generating structured memories, embeddings, and contextual insights
Providing search, retrieval, and timeline functionality
Operating connected-service integrations
Improving the Service and building new features
Ensuring security, reliability, and maintenance
Communicating essential service updates
Complying with laws and regulatory requirements
We do not use user data to train internal or external models unless a user explicitly enables such an option.
3. Data Processing Practices
3.1 User-Uploaded Content
mem[v] processes all uploaded and ingested content—videos, audio, images, documents, and metadata—for the purpose of providing Services requested by the user.
3.2 Third-Party Integrations
Users may connect external platforms to import or sync data. Each integration requires:
Explicit user consent
OAuth or API authorizations
Compliance with the third-party’s policies
mem[v] processes this data solely according to user direction.
3.3 AI Feature Processing
When users enable AI-driven capabilities (e.g., transcription, summarization, memory extraction), content may be processed by trusted third-party AI inference providers, including:
OpenAI
Google Gemini
Twelve Labs
Other approved inference partners (only if enabled)
Processing occurs only to fulfill user-requested functionality.
4. Data Security
4.1 Encryption
In transit: HTTPS/TLS
At rest: Encrypted using our infrastructure provider’s native encryption mechanisms
4.2 Infrastructure Providers
mem[v] uses secure, trusted third-party infrastructure partners, including:
Neo4j for graph-based data storage and retrieval
Cloudflare for performance and security
Additional cloud compute/storage partners with industry-standard safeguards
All partners are contractually required to maintain appropriate security practices.
5. Information Disclosure
mem[v] does not sell or rent personal data.
Information may be shared only in these scenarios:
With infrastructure providers required to operate the Service
With third-party AI processors when users choose to enable AI features
With connected services users explicitly authorize
When required by law, subpoena, or legal process
To protect the rights, safety, and integrity of mem[v]
In the event of a merger, acquisition, or business restructuring
All sharing is transparent and permission-based.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
User data is retained for as long as necessary to provide the Service.
Users may delete videos, memories, integrations, or entire accounts at any time.
Disconnecting a third-party integration stops future sync but does not automatically delete past imported data unless requested.
Users may request complete account deletion, which includes all stored data, subject to legal or security-related exceptions.
7. User Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
Access your stored data
Request correction of inaccurate information
Request deletion of data
Export memory data where technically feasible
Revoke third-party integrations
Object to certain processing activities
Request data portability
All requests can be submitted through our contact email.
8. International Transfers
Data may be processed or stored in regions outside your home country.
mem[v] implements appropriate legal and technical safeguards (including Standard Contractual Clauses) to ensure compliance with international data protection laws.
9. Policy Updates
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically.
Material updates will be communicated via:
Email to account holders
Notices within the platform
Updates to this page
Continued use of mem[v] indicates acceptance of updated terms.
10. Legal Compliance
This policy is designed to comply with relevant privacy laws, including:
GDPR (EU)
